3 Thailand’s Official Died in Helicopter Accident

A helicopter belonging to the Government of Thailand fell when rain storms hit northern Thailand, five helicopter’s passenger and its crew declared dead. “Two helicopters crew and three members of Thailand’s key officials, senior officials from the Ministry of Environment, General Secretary, and the Royal Advisory Council was found dead,” officials said on Wednesday (18/08/2010).
The union SAR teams successfully reached the crash site Wednesday morning and found five bodies near the carcass of the helicopter, which lost contact with control tower on Tuesday. “After losing contact with air traffic control tower, helicopter allegedly crashed into a mountain because the view is limited,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Sawaroj Intarawongchai. The five bodies in a state of ruin and is hard to recognized was ascertained as the passenger of the helicopter.
