China Took IBM to Make High Tech Medical Record Available in China’s Hospitals

Chinese government is planning to use billions on health sector by taking International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) and Dell Inc to work in China’s hospitals on medical records.
Hou Xueqiao, IBM Healthcare Solutions Lab’s health-care solution manager, said that the technology is a way of health solution that focuses on how to process and manage patient data and make all kinds of analytics able to leverage the very valuable information within electronic medical records. This solution expected can help doctors identify treatment plans mixing traditional Chinese medicine and Western from the statistics of patient records.
IBM is distributing technology to hospitals in southern Guangdong province. This will help hospitals to make standard on patient health records and use the records to create statistical analyses of Chinese medicine treatments.
