The Pilot Killed in Phoenix’s Plane Crash
World Wednesday, August 4th, 2010A single-engine plane hit a warehouse and burned near Deer Valley airport in north Phoenix Wednesday morning. The pilot is dead in the plane crash but there is no information about the passengers.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the small Cirrus SR 22 plane that contains four-seat veered sharply from a runway on final arrival and hit the warehouse less than a quarter-mile away in North Phoenix.
Cindy Cross, witness, said “There was just a horrible black plume of smoke. We knew that it had hit a building and that it was bad because it wasn’t normal fire.”
